>devlog - 9/13/2022

hello again! today's >devlog has been experimenting with Blender and making 3d models.

if you don't know already, >lidar is purposefully designed to be low-poly and very inexpensive on the GPU/CPU, like New Blood's titles.

thanks to the abilities of Heaps.io, and the precision performance improvements it provides, i shouldn't have to worry about it nearly as much, but making it low-poly still has a nice aesthetic, and just in case there's that poor soul with a 10 year old Toshiba laptop, they should be able to run it, too

never be afraid though, if you think that your project is too demanding on the computer! you have all the time in the world to patch and update your project to be less demanding on a certain platform! however, if the project is too demanding on you, the developer, then you should reconsider what makes it so difficult!

that's all for today, and if you've been checking up on these, thank you!

here are a few modelling snapshots, from likelihood of finding them first to last

this is tracer, he's the first opponent you're going to come across in >lidar!

how to defeat tracer:

scan him for a little bit! he'll follow slower the longer you scan, until he eventually stops, then disappears!

for more opponents? well... you'll have to wait and see until the release.

i'll give out chaser(* sorry!) later on, probably on the 4 day mark?

who knows :)
